The glans, surrounded by the foreskin, is in fact the distal end of the corpus spongiosum. The foreskin is the fold of skin that can be removed to reveal the glans. It is attached to the underside of the glans by a piece of skin called the brake.
The urethra passes through the corpus spongiosum and is the last part of the urinary tract. At the end of the glans is the urethral meatus, the outlet of the urethra. The urethra is thus used for ejaculation, but also for urination, i.e. it allows to urinate. The human penis does not have bones unlike other mammals. Nevertheless, it fills with blood during erection, thus allowing coitus.
In men, the size of the penis varies from one individual to another, but also within the same person. In general, the penis is measured from the angle between the pubis and the top of the penis to the glans penis. At rest, it measures on average 10 cm and almost 13.5 cm when erect.
